TelVue’s Internet Video Service Powers Brooklyn, NYC State of Borough Live Event
TelVue's PEG.TV Internet video service enabled BRIC’s BCAT TV Network to serve a large online audience
March 1, 2010 - (Mt. Laurel, NJ) TelVue Corporation (OTC.BB: TEVE), the innovation leader in broadcast technology for community television broadcasters, today announced that BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn’sBCAT TV Network utilized the company's PEG.TV™ Internet video service to stream their State of the Borough for Brooklyn, New York live event for the BCAT TV Network.Held at the YMCA Sports Complex at the Park Slope Armory in Brooklyn, the February 3, 2010 Brooklyn State of the Borough was attended by 1,600 people and Cablecast to over 550,000 Brooklyn households, along with the station's online community. While BRIC’s BCAT TV Network already uses a self-hosted streaming video solution for local community access programming, they required significantly increased bandwidth capacity to live stream the Brooklyn State of the Borough event.

The PEG.TV™ web user interface enabled BRIC’s community media staff to easily customize the media player with their own logo, background color palette and splash screen, and embed it directly into their website. BRIC’s community media marketing staff was also able to create banner ads promoting the station's education programs, television network and in-house professionally produced programming. These banner ads rotated on BRIC’s BCAT TV Network PEG.TV™ player and generated additional information and click throughs for interested viewers.
