Alliance for Community Media compliant server enables PEG stations to share video content
July 17, 2009 (Mt. Laurel, NJ) – TelVue Corporation (OTC.BB: TEVE) announced today the launch of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) compliant Shared Content Server (SCS) designed for Public, Education, and Government (PEG) stations to easily share broadcast quality video programming with other stations using the Internet. In addition to supporting station-to-station sharing, the system also acts as a distribution network for content producers who want to effectively reach the thousands of PEG stations across the country. This beta version of the Shared Content Server (SCS) will be featured by TelVue at the 2009 Alliance for Community Media - National Conference in Portland, Oregon. The company reports that the technical standards for the SCS were created by the ACM Working Group that includes other industry vendors, while the software development was completed by the TelVue Engineering team.
