May 2, 2008 (Mt. Laurel, NJ) – TelVue Corporation announced today it has launched PEG.TV™, an internet based Video-on-Demand (VoD) and Streaming Video service, developed specifically for PEG (public, education and government) television stations.  The concept behind PEG.TV™ is to allow local stations to make video programming easily accessible to their respective communities, via the internet. 

The City of Philadelphia and Queen Anne County, Maryland have been the first to sign up for PEG.TV™ services.

The PEG.TV™ technology supports unlimited & concurrent viewers, along with live streaming video up to 256 kb/second.  Each municipality will be provided with a customized Video-on-Demand (VoD) Flash player, administered by TelVue and a unique URL– (“yourtown.PEG.TV”) Additionally, comprehensive setup and training will be provided by TelVue Technical Services, as part of the PEG.TV™ agreement.
