Matrox to Highlight Data Collaboration and Review Advancements in Next-Generation Simulation Environments at I/ITSEC 2019
Posted on Friday, November 22, 2019

Matrox® Graphics Inc. will drive a variety of real-world training environments at the 2019 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) show. In Matrox booth 787, I/ITSEC attendees will see Maevex multi-4K encodersExtio 3 IP KVM extendersQuadHead2Go™ multi-monitor controllers, and Mura IPX capture and IP encode/decode cards deliver best-of-breed content capture, real-time encoding, live streaming and recording, extension and switching, and control on a variety of next-generation training and simulation platforms.

Featured simulation training demonstrations:

Synchronized, COTS-based streaming and recording for during and after action review

Matrox Maevex multi-4K encoders are purpose-built to capture, encode, and stream video feeds to simulator platforms
Matrox Maevex multi-4K encoders are purpose-built to capture, encode,
and stream video feeds to simulator platforms.

The cutting-edge Matrox Maevex 6150 quad 4K encoder appliance will exhibit high-density capture and encoding capabilities required to support a completely synchronized, live streaming and after action review (AAR) simulation system. Offloading all CPU-intensive encoding cycles from the system, the COTS-based Maevex 6100 Series appliances are purpose-built to capture, encode, and stream a multitude of simulator image generator (IG) video feeds. The demonstration will include Pitch Technologies’ Debrief software that synchronizes the Maevex-generated live simulation streams alongside other live simulation data—including high-resolution screen captures of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) and command and control (C2) systems—ensuring fully-synchronized, 360-degree replays in during and AARs and mission debriefings.

Industry-leading KVM extension and switching for simulation and training

Control multiple computers from a single remote station via USB mouse switching
Matrox Extio 3 Series IP KVM extenders provide seamless control
of training and simulation systems from a distance.

The high-performance Matrox Extio 3 IP KVM extenders will highlight seamless extension, switching, and control of multiple simulation and training systems. Featuring unrivaled 4Kp60 4:4:4 and quad 1080p60 4:4:4 video delivery over a 1 GbE network—at the industry’s lowest bitrates—Extio 3 works with COTS network switches to guarantee a scalable and cost-effective KVM matrix over IP allowing operators to securely route any system to any operator desk on the network. Furthermore, Extio 3’s new innovative Aggregator Mode feature provides unprecedented operational efficiency by enabling users to conveniently control multiple systems with a single keyboard and mouse.

World-class capture and video wall technology for visualization and training

Matrox Mura IPX capture and IP encode/decode cards and Matrox QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers are ideal for visualization and training applications
Matrox Mura IPX capture and IP encode/decode and Matrox QuadHead2Go
multi-monitor controllers are ideal for visualization and training applications.

The high-density Matrox Mura IPX cards will showcase their capture, streaming, recording, and video wall versatility for visualization and training applications. Boasting universal capture functionality, Mura IPX capture and IP encode/decode cards support baseband devices, IP sources, and local applications to access and view all required material across data-rich visualization platforms. The dynamic Mura IPX cards can also simultaneously stream and record any data point for real-time information sharing, training, or review purposes. Content includes entire video walls and regions of interest, as well as GPU-rendered, image generator content transferred directly from the graphics card to the Mura IPX card over the PCIe® bus. QuadHead2Go multi-monitor controllers meanwhile, will reveal their ability to power immersive video walls of any type and size, with flawless image quality across all displays.
