LECTROSONICS INTRODUCES NEW ASPEN FIRMWARE UPDATE VERSION 4.01.10

Rio Rancho, NM – April 1, 2010… Lectrosonics, recognized the world over as a leading manufacturer of wireless microphone systems and audio processing products, is pleased to announce the new ASPEN firmware update Version 4.01.10 that includes the highly-anticipated Jargon Lift™ algorithm. The new algorithm, developed by Lectrosonics’ crack DSP engineering team, enables ASPEN Series matrix mixers to recognize nonsensical jargon and temporarily mute the audio outputs accordingly. Even more amazingly, the filters can, in some cases, translate the jargon into normal terminology.

With Jargon Lift engaged, the user can select between a powerful subset of specialized filter plug-ins, including Political Filter™ with Weasel Word Whacker™, Corporate Buzzword Basher™, and Corny Comment Crusher™. By constantly monitoring online social media, the Trend Tracker™ can recognize and then delete any “trendy” phrases or words that have only recently come into use by young, ambitious marketers and, perhaps more importantly, consultants—thereby preventing them from baffling small, helpless companies.

The following example illustrates the power and utility of this new filter set to “cut through the noise” and lay bare the actual intent of the person speaking:

Without Jargon Lift:
“Our company is the industry leader of customer-directed aggregation. Without having lost our power-to-matrix ratio, we have leveraged our core value-added proposition holistically. Our recent performance met a number of benchmarks, particularly during the last quarter.”

With Jargon Lift:
“Our company_________ ____________ ____________ _________ lost_________ _________ money ______ off the ________ bottom line ________ last quarter.”

Gordon Moore, vice president of sales at Lectrosonics, commented on the new firmware: “Today’s DSP horsepower—matrixed with our proprietary algorithms—now makes it possible for phrases to be recognized within contextual frameworks, thus we can actually filter out and dynamically alter specific types of content in real time. Now, if we could only replace inane topics, poor word choices, and plain bad English with witty, sophisticated, and compelling sound bites, we would really have something! Maybe for version 4.01.11”.

With Jargon Lift:
“This________ __________version of ________ ________ _______the firmware______ fixes________ _________several bugs.”
