Quebec - December 8, 2021 - INOGENI has just introduced the all-new 4KX-PLUS, an HDMI to USB 3.0 converter that enables third-party meetings (BYOM and BYOD) such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom) with Cisco Webex Room Series and connects cameras and microphones to any laptop. This amazing solution optimizes Cisco's assets letting guests start a meeting with their own laptop and instantly take control of the Webex Device.
Designed and made in Canada, this new device follows premium safety and precision manufacturing processes. INOGENI has been working with Cisco since 2020 on this solution. Gilles Chouinard, President and CTO at INOGENI, said: "It has been a pleasure to work with the highly skilled and talented people at Cisco. They have an in-depth understanding of customers' needs and the challenges they face during these unprecedented post COVID times. Cisco developed specific macros to create a USB Mode on its Webex system." In fact, users can easily leverage the programed macros in their Webex Room Series devices. Users can also benefit from an intuitive interface on Webex Touch 10 or Webex Navigator.
Thanks to its direct integration with Cisco room equipment (screens, cameras and audio), the 4KX-PLUS resolves interoperability issues, optimizes all meeting room assets, and the license fees for Cloud Video lnterop (CVI) service and user management.
The 4KX-PLUS captures uncompressed HDMI video and audio from Cisco's CODEC and converts it to USB 3.0 for any third-party Windows, macOS and Linux laptop. No drivers are required. The 4KX-PLUS is completely compatible with most of the Cisco Webex Room system.
You can use INOGENl's 4KX-PLUS with the following Cisco solutions:
Macro and native
The 4KX-PLUS has been designed for easy access to the Cisco Webex system by a laptop with third-party CODEC software.
The 4KX-PLUS, like all INOGENI products, can work with any virtual meeting room software, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet or BlueJeans.
