Avoid Work From Home Burnout With These HIDEit Hacks

March 8, 2021 - We've all been working from home for months now. While we might have enjoyed the idea at first, we're all reaching the point of work from home burnout. These HIDEit Hacks will help you avoid burnout so you feel refreshed and ready to tackle your day!

HIDEit HACK: Get Organized

If you're anything like us, you've got a messy desk. A computer, multiple monitors, note pads, and a bunch of sticky notes posted everywhere to remind yourself of daily tasks. Add in a water bottle, junk mail, flash drives, headphones, and before you realize it, your desk is overwhelming. It's impossible to get work done, and you've realized you've misplaced that important document you need for your noon meeting. It's time to get organized!

First thing's first, remove the clutter! Any papers, note pads, water bottles, or items that don't assist you in your workday need to be removed! If you have desk storage, put some of the office supplies where necessary. Clearing space to get your home office organized is your main focus.

Next, let HIDEit give you some extra desk space. We've got easy to install mounts to help you ORGANIZEit. Whether you have a Mac Mini, Dell Micro or need a place to hang your headphones, HIDEit has you covered!

HIDEit HACK: Dedicate a Work Space

Having a small home office is a luxury for many people, especially for those living in apartments or have kids. You might've converted a corner of the living room or turned your dining room table into your workspace. That's okay! Just make sure your new “office” doesn't start bleeding into your relaxing space.

Designate an area specifically for work to keep your mind focused and help avoid any possible distractions or burning desires to kick back and relax - especially when you're supposed to be on that ever-important Zoom call!

If possible, try and work near a window. Not only will the light brighten your face over Zoom, but natural light also has proven health benefits, including relieving eye strain, headaches, and blurred vision stemming from starting at a computer screen all day.

Let HIDEit help alleviate eye strain from staring at your screen for long periods with our blue light blocking glasses.

HIDEit HACK: Have a Firm Clock-Out Time

One of the greatest benefits of working from home is the lack of a commute. You no longer sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic or wait for the next bus line. Working from home means you can wake up later or take longer to get ready. Think of all the things you can get done with your extra time!

But it also means your work is always within arm's reach. In an ever-connected world, we've become even more attached to our devices. Clocking out is now even more difficult.

Be sure to set aside hours when you're “out of the office” and stick to them. Don't reach for your phone to check your email after 6 pm. It's tempting, but you'll quickly burn out without proper resting time.

With these work from home tips, you'll be sure to avoid burnout and stay calm while working from home.
