FORMATT LAUNCHES NEW RANGE OF REVERSE ND GRADUATED FILTERS
Posted on Wednesday, March 31, 2010

We are very excited to announce that the launch of our new Neutral Density Reverse Graduated filter range.

Unlike regular ND grads where the graduation transition is from the top of the filter, getting lighter towards the middle, the reverse grad offers the transition from dark to light from the middle of the filter upwards.

Normal grads are designed to reduce light when the sun is high in the sky. The new reverse grads provide control where the light source is lower in the sky. This is a benefit when shooting bright horizons to enable more control over the exposure and balance the foreground image.

In particular the filters are very useful for shooting around sunrise and sunset where the main light source is at or near the horizon.

The filters are available in 3 densities: 0.3, 0.6, 0.9. 0.6 Reverse ND Grad

These filters are unique and are not made by any of the other major filter manufacturers. They come in all standard rectangular sizes. The filters come in soft edge only and the rectangular types are available in horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) variations.   Please see the separate price list for individual and full set prices.Body
