It’s that time of year again to start thinking about all the people who have helped you along the way. Thanksgiving strikes me as a great time for Chief to take a moment to thank all the installers, dealers, and more who took time out of their day to provide us with feedback on our display, wall, monitor, tablet, and ceiling mounts.
We use your feedback to guide our designs to improve existing mounting solutions and create new products.
For example, product manager Kathryn Gaskell said Chief was getting lots of requests for more solutions designed for the increasing number of extra large display mounts. The larger panels required specific solutions to hold the heavier weight safely as well as adapt to the overall size and shape of these larger displays. Thus the Fusion Extra Large Cart and the Extra Large Fusion Ceiling Mount were launched.
Product manager Luke Westin said that feedback was vital in creating Fusion ceiling mounts. Installers said they needed a great system to be able to connect flat panels blindly – leading to the hook and rail system. They wanted to be able to mount screens near walls, which was nearly impossible with systems that required spinning the mount onto the column – so Chief’s engineers designed a pass through feature that allows the ceiling mount to quickly slide onto the column.
Installers wanted a way to easily align multiple displays in menu board and video wall applications – Chief did that and more with micro height and plumb adjustment knobs for additional screen alignment.
Installers said it could be difficult to store extra components on ceiling mounts – so Chief added features to help tie off cabling with zip ties as well as an array of compatible accessories that work across much of the Fusion series.
Even our new catalog got some valuable updates as a direct result of your feedback. We rearranged the products to fit the order that made most sense to you, including grouping appropriate accessory options with the mounts they serve.
