New DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 recording units for small-to-mid-sized site challenges

Feb. 9, 2023 - Most cameras in a video security system require a central video recorder to archive the footage they are capturing. These units are often complex to install and configure, adding extra time and costs to projects.

The new DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 recording units from Bosch bring all the advantages of a professional video recording and management system to meet the demands of small and mid-sized stores and offices and is expandable.

They offer a complete solution that works out of the box. A new DIVAR IP System Manager provides an intuitive user interface (UI), guiding installers through the initial installation and operation mode selection, so the system is up and running quickly and efficiently.

Integrators can manage all installed software applications from the video recorder and perform upgrades efficiently to minimize downtime. The new DIVAR IP recording unts are ideal building blocks for large distributed systems.

Flexible operation for system changes:

The DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 units have three operation modes to help manage designs and changes based on their place in the system. Enabling the BVMS operation mode, users have a complete recording and management system utilizing the BVMS and Video Recording Manager (VRM) core components and services. This mode allows for advanced video management features such as event and alarm handling. When the system is in VRM operation mode, it becomes a pure video recording system employing the VRM core components and services. In the iSCSI mode, the recorders can be used as a storage expansion for a BVMS or VRM system, which runs on different hardware.

Tapping the full power of BVMS

As the main operation mode for DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 and 6000 units, BVMS is a modular and resilient system. It aggregates and delivers consolidated data to security operators in a way that helps them make informed decisions – so they can trigger the right actions and deploy a swift response to improve security and safety.

In addition, it ensures that data is available and secured at all times. This mode provides an advanced IP video security solution that delivers seamless management of digital video, audio and data across an IP network. It seamlessly combines IP cameras and encoders, provides system-wide event and alarm management, system health monitoring, user and priority management.

This mode provides the best video management system to go with Bosch video surveillance devices, leveraging the unique capabilities of Bosch cameras and recording solutions. It includes Video Streaming Gateway components to integrate third-party cameras. Combined with AI-enabled cameras from Bosch, the forensic search capability allows operators to retrieve the proper footage from hours of stored video instantly and analyses the scene so an operator can respond faster and more efficiently to potential threats.

Free online training

To ensure users have the basic knowledge of our systems, we offer free, online training for the DIVAR IP all-in-one recording units. Our training delivers the necessary knowledge and skills to integrators who work with all of our products and software. Tests conducted by Bosch show that technicians work more efficiently and effectively after they have completed training at our academy.

Trained installers reduce their reliance on technical support, minimize installation time, and ensure projects run faster, smoother, and more profitably. Upon successful completion of training, we award a technical certificate, which is necessary to receive after-sales support.
