Autoscript

Autoscript, the world's leading teleprompting company and a Vitec Group brand, has won the tender to supply prompting equipment for Peel Media’s MediaCityUK production studios in Salford Quays, in the first of two phased installations. The systems will be installed by TSL, the systems integrator for the project.

Two large studios will each be equipped with four LED On-Camera units plus dedicated PCs with WinPlus prompting software. A smaller studio will have two LED On-Camera units as well as its own prompt PC with WinPlus.

The robustness of the equipment, together with the high brightness LED screens that can cope with studio lighting, were also key factors in the purchase.

MediaCityUK is a community designed around the specific needs of the media industries.  Peel Media is developing one of Europe’s biggest high definition studio complexes and installing a state-of-the-art communications infrastructure. The development also features 378 apartments; a range of bars and restaurants, and a spectacular piazza, capable of staging events for 5,000 people.   

The current installation by Autoscript is expected to be complete by the end of September 2010.
